Clear aligners, or invisible aligners, are a popular alternative to traditional metal braces. Clear aligners are used to correct crooked teeth, misaligned teeth, or other bite issues. Many patients prefer clear aligners to braces because they’re virtually invisible and can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing.
Clear aligners are custom-made for you, providing treatment just for your orthodontic issues.
One of the most popular clear aligners is Invisalign. These are custom-fitted to your teeth and trimmed to match your gum line, so they are virtually invisible. Like braces, Invisalign applies gentle pressure to move your teeth to where they’re supposed to be.
Invisalign can treat a variety of orthodontic issues. These include:
Align Orthodontics is a Top 1% Invisalign Provider, meaning we are in the top 1% for North America. We have been an Invisalign Provider for more than 20 years and are West Michigan’s most experienced Invisalign provider.
It is easier than most people think to get treatment with clear aligners! It starts with getting a detailed, 3D scan of your teeth using the iTero digital scanning system. This replaces those old, goopy trays. With the iTero scanner, we can generate a detailed, 3D map of your mouth.
Those scans are used to create customized clear aligners. These aligners gently move the teeth a little bit at a time. You wear the aligners for 1-2 weeks for 22 hours a day. Then, you replace those aligners with the next set of aligners in the treatment sequence. The aligners are switched out until you arrive at the final “Wow!” smile of your dreams.
Ready to get started? If you are in the Grand Rapids or West Michigan area, request an evaluation with Align Orthodontics. If you prefer to stay home, you can begin with a virtual exam to show us your orthodontic issues. Then, we can show you how we can create your “Wow!” smile.
